This floral ice cream was inspired by poppies. In early apothecary, opium played a prominent role in old-school therapeutics.
Of course we aren’t using opium, but we wanted to replicate a floral experience to be opiYUM!
Combined with creamy ice cream we added Grand Poppy Liquer made from California poppy. It’s an intense blast of citrus and bittersweet flowers with a hint of grapefruit, orange, lemon and a vanilla base. Oh...And we didn’t forget adding poppy seeds :)
*California poppy has been used to promote relaxation, help depression and remedy nerve pain.
